Websites for Carbon Hill businesses from a Walker County designer who knows the area.
Carbon Hill sits out in the northwest corner of the county, where customers might drive a good way to reach you — and they'll check your website before they make that drive.
We build sites that answer the questions people have before they get in the truck: what you do, when you're open, where to find you, and how to call ahead.
Every site we build includes hosting you can count on and the groundwork for local search. When you're ready, pair it with website hosting in Carbon Hill and local SEO for Carbon Hill businesses.

Carbon Hill got its name honestly. The Alabama Historical Commission notes the name refers to the dark coal found in the surrounding hills.
The area was settled in the early 1820s and stayed mostly farmland until 1886, when the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad — later known as the Frisco — built a line through. Mines opened soon after, a post office followed in 1887, and the town incorporated in February 1891. By 1900 it had more than 1,600 people.
During the 1930s, Carbon Hill residents built a remarkable amount through federal Works Progress and Public Works projects: a new sewer system, a high school with a vocational building, a swimming pool and a jail. Today the town keeps a municipal park, a public pool and a football-themed splash pad.
