Get found by name
In a town this size, most people already know your business exists. They search your name to find your number and your hours. Your site needs to be the first thing that comes up.
This is home. Country Web Design is based right here in Dora, building websites for the businesses we see every day.
Dora is where Country Web Design lives, so this page is a little different. We aren't a Birmingham agency with a Dora page bolted on. When we say we're local, we mean you've probably passed us on Highway 78.
Dora businesses don't need a hundred-page website and a monthly retainer. They need something that loads fast on a phone, tells people what you do and how to reach you, and holds up when somebody searches for you by name. That's what we build, at a price that makes sense for a small town.
Every site we build includes hosting you can count on and the groundwork for local search. When you're ready, pair it with website hosting in Dora and local SEO for Dora businesses.
Dora has gone by a few names. When the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad came through in 1886, railroad officials called the stop Sharon, and for a while the town did too. It incorporated in 1897 as Horse Creek, after the creek it sits beside, and took the name Dora in 1906.
Coal built the place. Mining started nearby not long after the Civil War, and by 1910 Dora had more than 900 people, a row of stores, several hotels, a school and its own cola bottling plant. The railroad still runs through town today.
The best way to see that history is the Alabama Mining Museum, housed in a 1935 Works Progress Administration gym. It has a vintage locomotive, mining equipment and old photographs, and two buildings on its grounds — the Dr. C. B. Jackson House from around 1902 and the Wyatt School — are on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage.
And if you need a break from all that, the Horse Creek Golf Course is right in town.

Dora sits right on I-22. A good site helps you pick up customers from Sumiton, Cordova, Graysville and everyone driving through.
Hours change, prices change, you hire somebody. With us, you text the change and it's done, usually the same day.
